Free Robux Scams: 7 Tricks to Watch For (and How to Stay Safe)
2026-10-04 · 4 min read · Roblox
If something promises free Robux, it's almost always after your account. These are the scams that come up again and again.
1. Robux generators
Sites or videos claiming to "generate" Robux. Robux can't be generated. They want your login, or want you to complete "offers" that earn the scammer money.
2. Cookie loggers
Scripts, browser extensions or "copy and paste this into your browser" tricks that steal your .ROBLOSECURITY cookie. With it, someone can log in as you without your password or 2-step codes.
3. Fake verification
Messages saying you must "verify" your account, or log in on a lookalike page, to claim a prize or unlock a withdrawal. Roblox and real gambling sites never ask for this.
4. Fake trade bots
On gambling sites, scammers copy a site bot's username with tiny changes and message you first. Only trade the bot shown inside your own logged-in session.
5. Fake giveaways and impersonators
Accounts pretending to be a site, a YouTuber or staff, offering items if you "send first". You never get anything back.
6. Game pass "deposit" scams
Someone asks you to buy their game pass for a "deposit" or "investment" outside a real site. That Robux is just gone.
7. Phishing Discord links
"You won a free Limited!" links that lead to a fake Roblox login.
How to stay safe
- Turn on 2-step verification and use a strong, unique password.
- Never paste code into your browser console or install "Robux" extensions.
- If something feels off, log out of all sessions (Roblox settings) and change your password.
