How to Deposit OSRS Gold on a Gambling Site (Safely)
2026-10-02 · 5 min read · RuneScape
RuneScape gambling sites don't take cards or crypto by default. You trade them gold in-game. Here's how it works, and how people get scammed doing it.
How a gold deposit works
1. Open the site's cashier and choose a deposit amount in OSRS (or RS3) gold. 2. The site tells you which world and location to go to, and the in-game name of its cashier. 3. Trade that exact account. The site credits your balance once the trade completes. 4. Withdrawals work the same way in reverse: request it on the site, then meet the cashier in-game to receive the gold.
Avoiding fake cashiers
Fake-cashier scams are by far the most common way people lose gold: - Only trade the name the site shows you, inside your logged-in account, right now. Never a name someone sends you in chat, Discord or private messages. - Scammers copy cashier names with tiny changes (an extra space, an "I" instead of an "l"). Check it letter by letter. - Real staff will never ask you to trade "for verification" or to "unlock" a withdrawal.
Know the risk to your account
Trading gold for gambling breaks Jagex's rules. Accounts involved in real-world trading can be banned. Many players use a separate account to move gold, but the risk never goes to zero.
